For over 45 years, the Reimer Road Baptist Church has had a relationship with Joel King and his family. His father, Harold King, was the first missionary that our church supported. As Joel grew up in that home, he came regularly to the missionary conference of our church and even spent a summer (as a teenager) with some of our members. We, Reimer Road Baptist Church, are delighted to have the privilege of sending Joel and Pamela King and their family to Mexico.
As we look toward the future of world evangelism, I believe that the time is short for us to accomplish what needs to be done in world evangelization. Again, I thank you for your support of the Joel King family, and I trust that God will bless your church for their involvement in reaching the world for Jesus Christ. If I can ever be of any assistance to you, please feel free to give me a call.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is a privilege for me to write this letter of recommendation for Bro. Joel King and his wife Pamela. I have known this family for about 20 years, from the time I was the pastor of Pinecrest Baptist Church of Signal Mountain, TN, and Joel was music director of another church there in Chattanooga, a church where I preached often. Even then, I knew that Joel was a man of God with a heart for Christ.
They came to Mexico to visit us on a missions trip, when God moved on his heart to return to Chattanooga, sell his very successful dry-wall business, and begin raising support to come to Mexico to work in missions. Joel had seen our work in un-evangelized villages, places where many souls came to Christ, but with noone to return and disciple these new believers. God laid that burden on their hearts, to move to Mexico, evangelize and make disciples. They began working with us in Chihuahua, and then, 3 years ago, God led them to come to our area of Sonora, where we had begun a new work, but with the same need for discipleship of the many souls coming to Christ here. Since then, Joel has been very instrumental in helping to bring to maturity these new believers. He has had as many as 6 home Bible-study/discipleship groups going at the same time. God has also used him to lead souls to Christ in personal evangelism.
In addition, he and his wife Pam have led our Saturday youth ministry, and conduct the Sunday childrens' church ministry. Joel also leads the music as needed, and faithfully plays his trumpet or guitar in all our services. He does much of the work in our preparations for reaching out-lying villages with the gospel, in setting up the services and all the equipment needed. Pam is indispensable in the work of hosting visiting Summer missions groups from the USA...cooking, caring for the groups' housing, transportation, and in whatever service she can provide.
Honestly, I don't know what we would do without them! Joel and Pam have hearts of love for the people. Their love for Jesus is so evident, and live exemplary lives of holiness and faithfulness. I know personally that they came to the field by faith, woefully under-supported. They would truly be worthy of your support, and would be good stewards of all entrusted to them.
If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you for considering them.

I would like to recommend a missionary family for you to consider supporting, the King family. Brother Joel King is the son of my late friend, Dr. Harold King. Brother Harold King spent 45 years on the mission field of Mexico and South Texas working with his beloved Spanish speaking people. Dr. King and his wife, Mildred, reared a family of ten children and built churches and camps for the glory of God.
Brother Joel is an alumnus of Tennessee Temple University. He has proven to be faithful in ministry over the years and is devout in Christian character. He has a passion to follow in his Dad's footsteps to reach the Mexican people. Would you please give him a hearing? I know he will be a blessing to you and your church. I do not recommend many people, but I know and love this family. May God open doors for this wonderful family and get them to the mission field as soon as possible. It is my prayer that God will lead you to help them.
Yours for Christ and His Word,
